Cousin Adventure #1 Making Our Shirts & FLUBBER!

It's cousin adventure time again - Hooray!!  To kick off our adventures this year, first we had to make our awesome shirts!  This year we tried a new thing - we colored with crayons on sandpaper, and then ironed it onto the shirts.   The kids had a great time making their designs, and they turned out pretty good!  Some of them were a little light, but it's all good...  Oh, and Sinda and Dean get to join us this year!  Yay!

After shirts, we made flubber with the kids.  Of course they loved it, and are still playing with it days later!

Finish off the adventure with a little ice cream, and you have 10 happy kiddos & 3 happy mamas!

We Bike...A LOT

OK...one thing that May brings is a LOT of bike rides!  May is when we start really training for Little Red and Tour de Cure.  Mary and I both got sick and it kinda hampered our training BUT we kept trying!  We rode Legacy just the 2 of us, and Legacy with Maryann and Emily.  I did a great 30 mile ride with Mike, David, David's Dad, Emily and Amanda.  We did a great ride with a big group of friends that started in South Jordan and brought us home:)  And most importantly Mary and I changed a tire!  Uh HUH OH YEAH!  LOL

The LAST Day of SCHOOL!!!!

I can't believe it's already the last day of school! It has been the greatest year!  All 4 of my boys have just excelled.  They have grown and learned SO MUCH!  Mrs. Buckway, Mrs. Call and Mrs. Kelly have taken in my boys and loved them and taught them and helped them become even better than they already were!  Oh how I love them all!

After we delivered teacher gifts Nick and I came home to get ready for the hoard of Jr. kids that I knew were coming over:)  Then we went back up to watch the kids get sprayed by the fire hose.  It almost didn't happen this year and I am SO SO glad that the fire chief decided to do it!

I had originally planned on a 20 mile bike ride with Emily and Amanda but was feeling SO SICK (stinking cold) and so I almost cancelled....until I walked in and saw 14 jr high kids sprawled all over my house:) I decided a bike ride would be more peaceful for my sick head.  So I sent Mike for Pizza and I went on a ride!  I'm a horrible mom!  But when I got back I was feeling better and didn't mind my full house at all!

Eventually the kids were all ready to head off to their night time party:) and so Mike and I ran them up to Lane's house and they hung out there for the rest of the night.  Then Matt went to his party at Erin's house and Mike and I dropped the others off at Oveson's for a cousin sleep over (Ty and Matt joined them after their parties)

It was a celebration filled last day of school for sure!

Roadrunner Races

I love our school.  I love all of the people there who work so hard to make it great.  One of the greatest things they do each year is the Roadrunner races.  The kids look forward to it all year and the teachers even get a little competitive!  Oh and one more thing....I didn't have my camera with me the first day and Ariana took some of Lucas but didn't get any of Isaac....He did great too!!

Jr. High Awards Assembly

After lunch with Matt and his friends I ran him home to babysit:) and I ran to the awards assembly at TH Bell.  I was so stressed about making it!  But thankfully I made it before Tyler went up for his first award.  He got Red Bell for having a 4.0 and the Blue Bell for taking first at State for ECYBER Mission.

We didn't know what he was getting but we knew he was getting one of the special awards.  It turned out that he got the German Student Of the Year!  Tyler LOVES his German class.  He loves his teacher Herr Jackson.  He loves speaking German.  He ended the year with over 100% ....but we really didn't expect it! We assumed those awards would go to the 9th graders!  YAY way to go Tyler!

6th Grade Graduation

I was excited for the 6th grade graduation this year.  Matt's done so well in school that I was excited to see what awards he received....and of course he received EVERY SINGLE AWARD offered!  Honor Scholar, Citizenship, Attendance, Presidential Physical Fitness Award, and Peer Leader, and Responsibility.  Cute kid even gave in and smiled:)  The funniest thing though was when Cole Morrison passed out:) That sure ended the graduation quickly:)

Then we had yummy cupcakes (I made and took Matt safe cupcakes for him) and had fun taking pictures with friends

Then Mike had to go back to work and Matt and I went to lunch at Olive Garden with friends.  We were so stoked to finally find food there that he could eat!  He and Tommy Clark were the only boys but they weren't complaining!

I can't believe we are almost done with Elementary School!
