Mike and the Planning Commission

Well, the other night at the City Council meeting the Mayor presented Mike's name for the Planning Commission, and he was unanimously approved! It's not the City Council, but it is a great way for Mike to still serve AND it's all right up his alley! He's really excited and is looking forward to getting started this coming week! The swearing in Ceremony is Tuesday, and then it's all about getting down to business.......I guess!

Snakes snakes, snakes snakes and more snakes!

Lucas has been begging for his own snake for a while now, and Mike and I have been trying to trying to stall.....I mean did we really need 5 SNAKES??? Well, earlier this week a friend of mine from High School posted on Faceook that they were getting rid of 2 snakes! Wahoo! Needless to say I jumped on it and today we met and I came home with 2 more pets! Lucas is in heaven, and Nick is a little stressed. I'm sure that before long he'll love them too!

GO Team!

Well it's basketball time again! Tyler didn't want to play this year, but Matt was dying to play! And somehow Mike ended up as the coach! He was a little nervous, but he's done an AMAZING job so far! Last weeks game was SO much fun! The team that we played was really good, but we still killed em! GO MATT! (AND MIKE!!)

The PINEWOOD DERBY!!!!

This is Matt's VERY FIRST Pinewood Derby, and Man was he excited! He made the greatest Star Wars speeder EVER! He worked SO hard, and I am so proud of him! The coolest thing about the card is that it played the Star Wars theme music! Mike had gotten a B-day card from my Mom and Don (the kind that when you open it up it plays music) anyway, they took that apart and used the parts on the car. Every time Matt sent it down the track he pulled the paper out and it played the music while racing! It was AWESOME!!

Welcome to Jamaica Man!

We had our "January Birthday's" Party last Sunday and Mary out did herself as usual! We flew on Jamaica Air all the way to "da Island Man"! We even had our own personal pilot! My wonderful nephews made tickets and filled baggies with nuts! We even had a short movie for our in flight entertainment! Then we had YUMMY Jerk Chicken and Rice and Peas. MMMMMMMMM I had been craving them for weeks! It's so much fun to celebrate my B-day with Mike and Melissa! I LOVE my family!

Poor little Nick! He has a spider bite on his head and it just kept getting bigger and bigger!

Kindergarten trip to the Tree House

I love being with Isaac, and the Tree House Field Trip made for another great time! He got to be a crow in the play, and learn a lot about castles and royalty and Nursery Rhymes. It sure was a blast!

32 and counting!

I had a GREAT birthday this year....which shouldn't be a huge shock to anyone who knows my wonderful husband. He took me out Friday for dinner (Sandy's) and a movie (Sherlock Holmes). And then on Sunday he made a DELICIOUS Indian dinner. We had chicken Saag and Naan. YUMMY!!! I got some great running shoes and some pretty sweet noise canceling head phones. Lucas was pretty upset when we got ready to do cake and there were no friends here! We made some quick calls and the Neffs and Voigt's joined us for "mine party"!! The greatest thing though was just being with my family!

Logan Here We Come!

We had a great time on our annual Logan trip ! This year we couldn't stay over, but we still went up for the day on New Years Day and had a great time sledding on Old Main Hill and celebrating Melissa's birthday! My boys were SOOOOO excited to get back up there with their new sleds! The lens kept fogging up(probably had something to do with the fact that I kept falling!) so some of the pic's are a little foggy but they're still cute!! And then at Tee and Melissa's we learned how to make gnocchis. It was SO much fun! I love Melissa's family and they are so great to us! And Tee and Melissa's place was so cute! I am so excited that they are married and all settled and cute! Anywhoo Logan is one of my favorite cities on earth!
