Canning Canning Canning

Fall = Canning at the Staten house.  My peaches usually come on around the 15-20th of September but this year they came on at the end of August! I'm totally buried in peaches but thankfully I have a wonderful and amazing sister.  She came over and helped me can peaches and I couldn't have ever gotten this done with out her!  In just one day we did 65 quarts!   I finished them up with just under 100 quarts!  Phew!

Oliva And The Giant Peach

Today Miss Olivia came to play (she probably had a mom and a brother or 2 with her) and she fell in love with peaches!  It was HILARIOUS!  She just couldn't stop sucking on them!  I don't think I've ever had so much fun canning!

Playing At Bear Lake

Today after the Triathlon we got to spend the afternoon playing in the lake.  It was so great to just relax and be together!  We even cleaned up and made it back in time for the ward party!  I love unscheduled family time!

Bear Lake Brawl

Mike decided that he was going to do a triathlon this year. Not a sprint distance but an olympic distance.... He's a little nuts but I love him:)   As he trained Tyler started to get excited and wanted to do one....so he and Joey and Angelo decided to relay the sprint distance.  It made for a fun weekend trip to Bear Lake and a great day spent cheering on my wonderful husband and son.  Mike's swim was his slowest time of the 3 events.  His Bike was his fastest....he average speed was 22 mph! And most impressive (in my opinion) he ran the whole 10k!

Angelo swam well, his time was 26.24.  Joey's run time was 23.17 and Ty's bike time was 39.56 for an average mph of 18.7!

Way to go my amazing Staten Men!

Back To School :( or :)

Back to school time is a time of mixed emotions.  Its so exciting and so sad all at the same time.  I LOVE having my boys home with me and yet I LOVE school!  I love our school, I love their teachers. I love new pencils and new notebooks.  Sigh.....but I SO miss my kiddo's.

This year Ty's so excited for 8th grade.  I can't believe he's already in 8th GRADE!  Ahhhh!

Matt is starting 6th grade and has Mrs. Kelly.  He's excited and I can't wait to see how much he will grow.

Isaac has Mrs. Call.  We haven't ever had her and so he is excited and a little nervous.  She's super nice so I think we'll see great things this year

Lucas has Mrs. Buckway and we are SO excited!  She is one of the greatest teachers we've ever had and I am so excited to see how Lucas soars while in her class!

Yay For another new school year!

Sinda's Little Man Shower!

Baby showers are always fun and this one was no exception!  We are all getting excited for David and Sinda's little guy to get here.  Here are a few fun pics from the night!
