Now scout camp isn't something I've personally ever experienced. BUT I've watched Mike experience it plenty of times and I'd say this was his favorite so far! Camp Loll is his VERY favorite camp and this year he had Tyler! The only thing that would have made it better was if all the boys were there!
I'm totally turning this post over to Mike:)
Scout camp is always a lot of fun for me - I'm passionate about the scouting program and the way it builds character in the boys - they have chances to do things they didn't think they could do - like swim 100 yards in 50-degree water, or hike 16 miles, or whatever it is, and this week was no exception. The scouts were amazing as they came together as patrols and as a troop, helping the younger scouts, each boy doing his part, working hard, and having fun. What really made this year awesome for me, though, was being there with my son, and him as the senior patrol leader. He set a tone for the troop, and they followed his lead, and it was really an amazing week.
I did the mile swim, as a test in preparation for the Bear Lake Brawl Triathlon later in the summer, and I have to say, it was a bit of an ego boost to see how bad everybody thought I was ;) - the best part though was when Brother Baker said to Tyler, "dude, you have a cool dad." and Tyler said, "Yeah, I do." Yeah, awesome points for me :D.
Tyler Climbed
We hiked
We saw a moose...
We had a blast, and then we came home happy. Scout camp rocks!

Kayaking in the Bay!
Emily and David invited us to come and spend the day with them at Willard Bay today and it was AWESOME! Mike and Ty weren't home from scout camp yet but that didn't stop the rest of us! Thankfully though They did make it out to play with us too and that made it perfect!
The Frandsens have these perfect Lifetime kayaks....I so want some! The kids, even Nick, could navigate them and they all felt perfectly in control and safe. We spent the whole day in the water! It was so nice to just relax and be together.
Then it we had a yummy dinner and games before we headed home to crash for a good night sleep!

Cousin Adventure #4 Trafalga!
For this cousin adventure Mary and I decided to take the kids to
Trafalga in Lehi. It's free with our Pass of all Passes and we wanted
to try it out. It was GREAT! The kids LOVED the climbing wall, the
water boats (I DIDN'T love being the target for each and every one of
the boys water guns though:) the scaled down versions of amusement park
rides and most of all....the laser tag! It honestly was one of the
greatest laser tag arena's I've ever played it! Oh and everyone kept
asking about our shirts! They were awesome!! Yay for cousin time!

Best Dad Ever Day!
I love Mike and he is an AMAZING dad. Fathers day is a special day
around here. This year I still wasn't feeling well because of the sinus
stuff BUT I had shopped early and Mary helped make a GREAT photo
collage for him. It was the best! Mike got things to help him train
for his Triathlon and even though I think he's nuts:) he was thrilled!
Isaac, Lucas and Nick also had some school/home made gifts for him. I
thought Lucas' were the best.....pipe cleaner hat:) It was awesome!

Gifts Given With Love
We all know Mikes a little bike obsessed. Biking has changed his life. He feels so great and he wants everyone to feel that good....SO every chance he gets he tries to get people on their bikes. This year for Don's birthday and Fathers day Mike decided to take Mom's and Don's bikes.... that he'd seen in the garage covered in dust and spiderwebs...and fix them up. He and the boys scrubbed and polished and updated their bikes. My boys were in heaven and I loved the lessons they were learning. Gifts that come from the heart are the best:) Mom and Don came up to see me after surgery and we were able to surprise them with the bikes:) The best part was watching them ride a little bit with the kids!

Stuffy Noses
The last year has been horrible when it comes to my nose and sinuses. It's been one infection after another and my sinuses were sealed off in parts so my Dr decided it was time for sinus surgery. For some reason I had it in my mind that this was going to be a quick and easy thing. I was totally going to be right back up and at it. HAHAHAHA I was So wrong! Dang unmet expectations! It kicked my can and I wanted to die. It was a full 2 weeks before I felt like I might actually survive. And sadly Mike and Ty were at scout camp the second week! Thankfully my Mom and Don brought food. Mary did too and took care of the kids and Kami had the kids come over a lot so I could rest. I couldn't have survived it without them!
Cousin Adventure #3 Fun at Aunt Mary's House!
This week I had surgery:) and while I was doing THAT Mary was putting one one of THE best Cousin Adventure's EVER!
They made Fathers/Grandfathers day gifts
They made marshmallow engineering wonders
They bobbed for water balloons
They drew Star Wars ships with chalk and then bombed them with a fore mentioned water balloons!
The kids also wrote and videoed their own original Star Wars movie! And we played and played and played! Whew! What a fun day! My sister is AMAZING!

Toothless
Lucas is losing teeth faster than the Tooth Fairy can believe. If only he didn't think it was the end of the world. He has become terrified of anything "that will hurt" UGH! Good thing he's so stinkin cute!
