Martin Luther King Day 2011

I love Martin Luther King Day. I am so thankful for all of those who fought along side Dr. King to make things equal. I love that my 7 year old had to ask me if he was white. It's a non issue. I love that we have a black President. I don't even care about his politics, I just love what it says about our country. We've come a LONG way baby!

NOW, that being said our day didn't start out well. I had the migraine from Hades and a house full of bored boys and NO car! The van was in the shop again (LOOOOONG story) and so there was no out in sight. Until my wonderful sister called to see if we wanted to go with them and a friend of theirs to Hill Air Force Base. We love the museum there and to make it better their friend is a jet/plane NUT just like my boys. Mary took her family there and then came and got mine. When we were done she shuttled us back home. I know I say it a lot but I LOVE my sister!
