The 4th of July!

I love the 4th of July. I love the bike parade with my kids. I love the "big" Parade. I love standing to salute the flag of our Country. I love watching my kids gather candy. I love running the kids games (but I have to admit that some day I would like to actually watch them PLAY the games...).

This year we had the games set up early so that Mike, Tyler and Matt could run the 5K. They did awesome! They did it in 30 minutes! I was so proud of them!Then we ran Tyler to his spot in the parade line up (7th grade officers) and hurried to get in line for the kids bike parade!Then we relaxed and enjoyed the parade.Ran the kids games...
And finally we went home to relax! Mary and Mike usually have a 4th of July BBQ at their house and then we come here for fireworks, but since Mary wasn't feeling the best I offered to have the BBQ here. It was such a nice relaxing time with great family and friends. Most of all I love sitting in my front yard to watch fireworks! The funny thing this year was watching Tee show Ty and his friends how to "modify" flowers :)
