Cache Valley Cup
Soccer tournaments are always fun....they are crazy busy but fun. This
one was great because Tyler and Matt were both playing in it. It was a
week filled with a lot of games and a lot of time to kill in Logan,
which for us means Aggie Ice Cream! Both teams won a few games and lost a
few games:) Here are a few pictures from our fun week!

Cousin Adventure #6 The Tree House Museum
Its amazing to me the way that the kids never get tired of the Tree
House Museum. The youngers love it and Tyler and Matt never complain
and have a blast themselves! I think that the kids have fun no matter
where we are....they just love being together.

It's A VOLCANO?!?
The boys and I created a volcano today. It was one of those days that was dragging. So we pulled out this kit that I bought and we made a volcano!
First we mixed the plaster:)
Then we waited...a long time and painted the volcano

And then we made it erupt!
It wasn't anything huge but it sure made for a fun day with my kiddo's!

Cycling Merit Badge:)
This year Mike decided to lead the cycling merit badge ride again since Matt was 11. Little did we know....but Matt decided to train for the Century ride with us and WAY out did the merit badge requirements. But we had started so we had to finish it. UGH:) The 50 mile ride was scheduled for the morning after the Antelope ride SO Mike got up at 7 (after 3 hrs of sleep) and went with the scouts to SLC to ride the 50 miles home. Matt and I slept in and then rode south to meet them and ride home with them. I think we rode about 20 miles south to find them and then we made our way....slowly....home. Matt lead the way TRYING to go slow enough. It was a rough go but we finished (in the rain) and with in the time limit. We ended at Warrens for shakes (of course) and then some of us rode home in the wind and rain. A fun little side note though, Sophia did all of the rides with us. She learned how to push her self physically in a new way and THAT was fun to watch. I also have to say.....Matt amazes me. The strength I see in him is amazing!

Antelope By Moon Light 2012
Tonight was the Antelope by Moonlight ride. This was a first for us....and we learned a few priceless lessons.
#1-Arrive at the Island HOURS early. Like before the sun sets. It took us FOREVER to get on the island. We didn't even start the ride until an hour after it started
#2-Good head lights are a MUST. We all had them but some of our friends didn't and that was rough
#3-Don't take the little kids in the trailer.....they just get ornery and fight. Then they fall asleep and hit each other in their sleep
#4- Hill climbing is SO MUCH BETTER INT HE DARK! I didn't stress because I couldn't see the top! That part was awesome!
#5- McDonald's at 3am might sound like a bad idea but your kids will think you ROCK!
#6- And last but not least....find a great neighbor to help everyone make AWESOME tie dyed t-shirts!

Independance Day 2012!
I love the 4th of July. I always have. BUT the 4th in Riverdale is THE best! Mike and I have been involved in some form or another since Matt was a baby, but this was my last year being over the kids games. I finally had to say "no more" and it was one of the hardest things ever. But with the 5K that my family now loves to run, the breakfast that Mike needs to be at, and the parade Mike has to be in......this will be my last year running the games. :( That being said.....here's how our day went:
Mike and I went to set up the kids games at 5:30
Mike, Tyler, Matt and Isaac ran the 5K while I got Lucas and Nick ready
All of us rode in the Old Glory Days parade and had a blast throwing candy at everyone:)
We finished the parade and then rode our bikes to the Frandsens to watch the end of the parade
Then we flew back up to the park to run the kids games
We cleaned up the games, went home and crashed for a while.....
THEN I made this awesome TOTALLY Matt safe trifle
And we had a great BBQ and fireworks with the Ovesons, Paul and Clerie and the Neff's...Livi liked the fireworks but Addison DID NOT! :)
PHEW! I can't wait for next year!
