Cousin Adventure #2 Brigham City Museum!

For our second cousin adventure of the summer we headed up to Brigham City to check out the Brigham City Museum, and we were pleasantly surprised. Not only did the museum have some interesting exhibits, but it had an AMAZING children’s area – which was just what a group of 8 little boys need! They had an area set up like pioneer life where they could practice pushing a plow, churning butter, grinding corn, lifting a bucket from a well, using pioneer tools, and all sorts of cool stuff. The boys were all fascinated, and stayed in that one small area for a very long time! They loved it!! And not only did we get to see the museum, but we drove past the Brigham City Temple, and it’s looking amazing! I can’t wait until it’s done!

Once I figure out how to get the pic's off of my phone I'll add them :)

Pink FIre Trucks....

Lucas was in HEAVEN! A while ago he had seen the advert poster on the Chick-fil-A window and begged to go! I told him "sure" and then forgot. :) BUT thankfully Jamie always know's what's going on and reminded me. I don't think that there has ever been anything better for Lucas! He loves the color pink and seeing all of those tough fire fighters in their pink gear was AWESOME!!!!! I called Mary and we all had a blast!!! I stole this "highlights list" from her blog.....it sums it all up!
  • Getting to spin all the wheels for free things
  • Seeing the pink firetrucks & pink firemen
  • Climbing in the real firetruck
  • Kyle having a complete meltdown inside the fire safety house as a room filled with smoke and the smoke detector went off. Mary kept trying to tell him that it was not real and that we were ok, but he was convinced we were all going to die, and he couldn’t breathe, and we were all in danger. It was extreme fear – poor kid. He was ok once we were out, but man he was scared!
  • Our new pink umbrella
  • And spending time with our cousins. The boys feel like they never have enough time with them. We can be with them all day, and the boys still beg to be with their cousins as soon as we are leaving. I’m glad they have such good relationships!

SSSSLIP N' Slide!

One of my favorite things about summer is watching the kids on the slip n' slide. They are so cute and have so much fun, but this year it took us a while to get it set up. The rain just won't stop!!! So today we set it up and played in the rain!

Cheese Balls!!!

We went to the store today and the boys saw the biggest barrel of cheese balls ever. So of course we had to get it :) Nick fell instantly in love with them and REFUSED (as only a 2 year old can) to let his brothers anywhere near them! He was so adamant about it that he FELL ASLEEP while guarding them! Silly boy!

PAL Camp

Every year the district holds "PAL camp". It's an accelerated learners camp. This year Tyler went for Math. They had to design a bridge and build it out of tooth picks. Then at the end of the week they broke them. Ty had pushed for a different design (yeah he's talked with his dad A LOT about bridges) but he was over ridden. He likes to think that if they had used triangles it would have won :). They also had to work the stock market. They were given "money" and had to "buy and sell" their stocks during the week. They also did some other fun math games. He LOVED it!

Matt and The Ogden Outlaws!

We've been looking for a good soccer team for Matt for quite a while now, and this week he tried out for the Ogden Outlaws. It was 3 days of tryouts and MAN it was tough. He was so excited and SO nervous, and it was supposed to take 3 days to hear......but the coach called tonight and MATT MADE THE TEAM!!! GO MATT!
