Merry Christmas!

I LOVE Christmas!  This year was no exception!  We had a great morning.  The kids slept until 6am (which I'll take any day!) and then we spent a LONG time opening presents.  The boys were all so happy and so thankful that it made the opening of each gift super fun.  I think my favorite one was Matt's big gift.  He had REALLY wanted an IPOD.  The problem is that with expensive things they get fewer gifts...and I didn't want him to feel bad when his turn in the rotation came around.  SO we wrapped the IPOD in like 4 different boxes.  One after the other with notes on it that said "Maybe next time!" and "try again"!  It was so funny to watch him try to figure it out!  I was also super excited about Ty's Barcelona jacket, Isaac's keeper pants and indoor cleats, Lucas' bike jersey, Matt's Barcelona shirt and Nick's Pirate ship.  My VERY FAVORITE gift though was the life size wall sticker of Lionel Messi!  SUPER cool!

This year was a little different.  Usually we go down to mom's but this year they decided to go around and visit.  SO we had fun showing them gifts and opening gifts with them.
THEN we went to Mary and Mike's for a Christmas dinner of Jamaican food!  One of my VERY favorite dinners ever!  It was a different Christmas Day but I loved it!

Christmas Eve 2012!!

I LOVE Christmas!  I love our traditions!  Christmas Eve is probably my favorite.  We start with a yummy cheese fondue dinner, a great family program and then jammies  before TRYING to go to sleep:) It's always hardest to get Matt to sleep.  He hasn't ever been able to calm down and sleep!

This year each boy sang a Christmas song or two.  Ty even sang a few in German.  Matt and Isaac and Lucas also played a song on the piano.  I read Twas the Night Before Christmas and then Mike read the Christmas story.

I love it!!

December Fun!

December is nuts but oh so fun!  The boys went to the Home Depot Kids club with Mike and saw Santa...sorta:)!

We made a traditional Czech Christmas dinner (minus the carp....)

The kids all made home made gifts again this year.  This year was fun and fairly simple which made it even more fun for mom!:) LOTS of home made shrinky dinks this year.

Nick spent a lot of time helping me cook.....and he is convinced that having a towel on his shoulder helps the onions not sting his eyes:)

And of course family Christmas parties.  Or Staten party was at the hotel again...we ate pizza swam and came home and didn't even think to take a picture!

Our Horrocks/Wittke party was at Mom and Don's again and it was a fun night filled with a lot of excited and hyper kids!  Each kid got a book and their reaction was the best I've ever seen.  They all were SO excited!  I love that they all LOVE to read!
