AWESOME Nutcracker!

Matt was given an assignment in school to make a nutcracker.  We had just gone to see the Wizard of Oz at Bonneville High School so Matt decided to make his a Tin Man.  AMAZING.  Simply amazing.  He made the coolest tin man ever!  I was so excited to add it to my nutcracker collection but then his teacher asked if she could keep it and he said YES!  I was so sad!!  But they did let me take pictures!

Preschool Christmas Fun

I love preschool in December.  First we hit the Ogden Christmas Village (in the POURING rain), had a fun little party and then put on the Christmas Pageant.  They were so great!  We had to borrow a girl though because no one wanted to dress up like Mary:)  LOVE our group of all boys!

The Tree Hunt

One of our favorite things to do each year is to go and pick out our Christmas tree.  The kids LOVE it.  Every once in a while we talk about getting a fake tree.....and then the kids mutiny and we go purchase a living tree.  Picking it out and decorating it is one of my favorite family traditions but it can get pricey.....So this year we decided to see what they had in Home Depot's tree lot.  The trees were BEAUTIFUL and HALF the price of the normal lot!  SCORE!

National Academic League AKA "NAL"

It's been another great season for Tyler on the NAL team.  He studied really hard and ended up being one of the highest scoring kids on the team!  They ALMOST made it to the finals....it was such a nail biter!  Way to GO Tyler and the TH Bell NAL team!

Mr. Dean's Blessing

Today was Deans baby blessing.  I just had surgery on Thursday and wasn't feeling to hot but I managed to make it:)  He's such a little cutie and I'm so glad he's in our family!

The "Greatest" Grandpa

Today after Deans blessing we stopped at Grandpa and Beverly's so that Mike could get Grandpa's bike.  Grandpa has decided that it is no longer safe for him to ride....he's 86....and wanted his bike to go to someone that would love it.  Mike certainly fits that bill.  He is in LOVE with Grandpa's 1974 Schwinn Suburban.  The bike's cool and all (and I'll post those pics too) but the best part of the day was watching Grandpa with my kids.  My kids adore him.  He loves them.  The bestest of the best part of the day was when they went out to get the bike and my kids saw the wheel chair.  Grandpa told them that those were the wheels old people ride on.  And THEN he proceeded to run them around the neighborhood.  Yeah...not the wheels for this old guy!  He's THE best!

Amazing Things Happen When....

Amazing things happen when people come together!  I heard a few weeks ago that a girl who used to be in our ward didn't have parental support/ help for her wedding.  Jamie and Michelle saw it at the same time and so we decided to pull together a wedding!  I did invitations and we ran them around the neighborhood.  Jamie got some decorations from her Mother in Law and Ariana and I gathered things from people we knew and I made center pieces.  Everyone helped make brownies and we pulled together a wedding reception!  SO many people helped!  I can't believe how amazing people are.  They just jumped in and helped!  It was awesome!  Wendy seemed happy with it and that's all I was going for!  Congrats Wendy and Isaak!
