A Wonderful Tax!

There aren't a lot of taxes that I love, BUT I love the RAMP tax! Thanks to the RAMP tax we get to do fun things all over Weber County all summer long! Today Mary and I took the kids to the Treehouse Museum, which they loved, for FREE!

Cousin Adventure #6 Ogden Raptors!

This week we got to go to an Ogden Raptors game!! Mike O got to go with us but our dad stayed home to work on wands for Harry Potter.......well, that was the idea anyway. I left the kitchen sink running.......and flooded the kitchen. I'll post more about that later, but for now I'll go back to the game :) The boys loved it. Well, they loved playing together on the playground and I think they even watched a little baseball! BTW I owe Mike O a hue thanks for going to help Mike clean up:)

The 4th of July!

I love the 4th of July. I love the bike parade with my kids. I love the "big" Parade. I love standing to salute the flag of our Country. I love watching my kids gather candy. I love running the kids games (but I have to admit that some day I would like to actually watch them PLAY the games...).

This year we had the games set up early so that Mike, Tyler and Matt could run the 5K. They did awesome! They did it in 30 minutes! I was so proud of them! Then we ran Tyler to his spot in the parade line up (7th grade officers) and hurried to get in line for the kids bike parade! Then we relaxed and enjoyed the parade.Ran the kids games...
And finally we went home to relax! Mary and Mike usually have a 4th of July BBQ at their house and then we come here for fireworks, but since Mary wasn't feeling the best I offered to have the BBQ here. It was such a nice relaxing time with great family and friends. Most of all I love sitting in my front yard to watch fireworks! The funny thing this year was watching Tee show Ty and his friends how to "modify" flowers :)

Cousin Adventure #5 Wheeler Farm!

I love Wheeler Farm. I love that it's a real working farm. I love all of the old buildings and farm equipment.....and as much as I love it I haven't taken my kids there since Tyler was in Kindergarten! They all loved it! Nick and Kyle REALLY loved it!! We started the day with a picnic (I honestly have no idea if any of the food made it into their tummies....or if all of it ended up in the stream!). Then we practically ran from animal to animal and tractor to tractor! Then we had fun watching the kids play in the tree house and try the flavored honey.......not such a yummy treat actually :( It was so much fun and I loved this cousin adventure. BUT I have to say that I don't know why in the world we chose to make BLACK shirts this year!!!
