Mothers Day!

I had ANOTHER wonderful Mothers Day! I have such a wonderful family. They make me feel special and loved every day, but they go out of their way on Mothers Day. They woke me up by singing "Mother I Love You". That was followed by a yummy breakfast of pancakes and bacon and presents! I got something handmade by each of my wonderful boys. ( Ok , I helped Lucas and Nick when I taught preschool, but they BOTH worked on them!) I also got a book (which I LOVED), flowers and U2 TICKETS!!!! WAHOO!!! Church was great and then Mike made a fabulous dinner of steak and mashed potatoes and the yummiest salad ever! I sure love being a mom!

Congrats Melissa!

This is a shout out to my wonderful sister in law Melissa! She Graduated yesterday from Utah State! She's an amazingly talented artist. She amazes me. I'm just so thankful that she's now my sister! CONGRATS MELISSA!!

The Race For The Cure

I LOVE the Race For The Cure. This was my 7th year. I went the first year with my mom and Mary. Ever since then I've gone with Kami. This year, because of soccer, It was just me with Kami and the girls. I had a WONDERFUL time. It was just so great to be there with so many wonderful brave and tough people. My favorite quote of the day was "It's not a matter of IF breast cancer will touch you, it's a matter of WHEN"

Fathers and Son's

This year the Fathers and Son's was at Camp Lamondi up North Fork. Tyler had a soccer game and couldn't go so he and I got to spend the night together :) but Mike and the others had a great time! Because of Soccer they didn't camp over but they stayed until bed time and then cam home. They all said that they had fun with each other and with friends. They even caught a snake! I think that Mike was secretly happy that they had soccer and couldn't camp.....it was still SO COLD up there!

6th Grade Planetarium and Spaghetti Factory Fieldtrip!!

I was so excited when the 6th grade teachers asked me to go with them on the last field trip of the year. It was so FUN! We went to the Clark Planetarium (which I love). The kids had to do a scavenger hunt and then we went to a great 3D Imax movie about the ocean. Then we headed out to The Old Spaghetti Factory. The kids were so funny. You would have thought we were eating at the fanciest restaurant in the world!I was just so excited to spend the day with Tyler. He's such a great kid and I love every second I get to spend with him!

Happy Birthday Mary and Matt!

Today we had our "Mary and Matt" Birthday dinner! It was a lot of fun and Matt was happy that we made "Matt safe Hawaiian Haystacks". It was fun to combine their b-day's because I think of Matt as part Mary's. He was born while Mary and Mike were doing everything they could to get pregnant with their own, and Mary was so incredible sweet and loving with baby Matt. He LOVED her from the start. He even looked a lot like her when he was born. In fact at his blessing my Grandpa said "Mary are you sure he wasn't supposed to be yours?" We love Aunt Mary.

ANYWAY, back to the party :) Matt loved his gifts (a book, an "outdoor games" kit, a REAL SL shirt, some baseballs.....) and his "Matt safe cake". I can't believe he's going to be 10!!!!!

An Artist!

Mike and I got home from our date to find Nick looking, well, VERY colorful. He had gotten into my makeup and had colored his face with my lipstick. The great thing about this lipstick is that it doesn't come off of my lips. The problem with this lipstick is that it doesn't come off of Nick's Face either :(. He was a mess and we tried EVERYTHING! I was worried he'd have to go to church looking like that! Right before we left I decided to try acetone nail polish remover. He HATED it, but the lipstick faded enough that I didn't feel silly taking him to church! Again I just have to say "Oh this kid!"
