Gobble Gobble Thanksgiving 2010

I love Thanksgiving!! Even when your sick it's a WONDERFUL day! We had a very calm relaxing morning, a nice call from John, a nice drive, a VERY yummy dinner, great family, darling kids, fun with my sib's and parents! The kids all just crack me up. They keep things hopping for sure! My boys all had to have a drum stick, and then they all started trying to figure out how many rolls Uncle Tee could fit in his mouth at one time. Kyle and Nick were both sick and yet still so hilarious! I LOVE 2 year olds. I think that out of all of the kids they loved the cookie trains/houses the most. They had to do it all themselves! The Ovesons ended up with an awesome train, and we ended up with a mobile home complete with a twister! Tee and Melissa's house was the most beautiful by far! We cleaned up and were home by 5:30. I walked in, changed into my Pj's and a coat and went to bed! I slept for about an hour, which greatly helped, and then enjoyed some "Last Air Bender" together! I felt crummy BUT it was still an amazing, beautiful day with the family that I love more than anything in the world! I am SO blessed with the world's greatest husband and the 5 most amazing beautiful children. I have no idea how or why I ended us with such an amazing live, but I'll take it!

Hmmm.....how many rolls can Uncle Tee fit in his mouth at the same time?

Best buddies!

Mr. sick eyes!

I love making layered Jello's! Take FOREVER, but it's so fun to eat!

The Tree SOLD!!

I have been stressed that the tree wouldn't sell, but it did!!! This morning we went to the Christmas Tree Jubilee with the Neff's and Oveson's. I love all of the cool trees! Nick screamed the entire time, so it was a shorter trip than I'd hoped (maybe I'll go back on Friday alone:)), but I still loved it! Mary's YW did a tree too, and it also sold! WAHOO!!!!!

We're Thankful For.....

Last night at FHE we talked about gratitude. We have so very much to be thankful for, and after Mike's lesson we went around and let everyone list one thing at a time that they were thankful for. SO, here's the list:

Nick:
Doggies

Lucas:
The Stupid Cow talk from Conference, the Holy Ghost, Bodies, arms, eyes, hair, food to eat, Jesus and Heavenly Father, preschool, cups, drinks, money, and NO living dinosaurs.

Isaac:
Christmas, nice cozy bed, good parents, a Prophet, family, learning at church and school, coats, and TV.

Matt:
Good friends, books, the Harry Potter wand sale which makes it so we can pay for our car repairs!!, a free country, church

Tyler:
A good school, that I can go to church, scriptures, a toilet, our house, peace, Priesthood, and entertainment.

Mom:
Family, Friends, Temple blessings, a washer and dryer, good boys that take care of each other, boneless skinless chicken breasts, cars, good mechanics, and church callings.

Dad:
Testimony of the Gospel, forgiveness, inspiration, hot water, disposable diapers, a loving Heavenly Father who is real, and work.

I love my family. I love that last night's FHE put everything back into perspective for me. I was a little stressed and upset because of our sudden car problems. It's going to take all that we had left from the wand sale. For a split second I was frustrated. BUT then I was shocked out of those feelings with the realization that the van held out and didn't break down until we had the money to pay for it. WHAT A BLESSING! Man we're lucky. Actually, we're blessed by a loving Heavenly Father every second or every day. :)

LOVE Me A Good Snow Storm!

Well, it's finally here! All day we're been hearing about the "Full State Blizzard Warning". Everything was canceled and closed early. So far it's been a fun storm to watch come in. Got some great pictures, made chicken noodle soup (home made noodles), & rolls. 3 or so inches and the kids are hoping for more!

Christmas Tree Jubilee

I love Weber School District's Christmas Tree Jubilee. Over the past 23 years, the Christmas Tree Jubilee has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and helped countless special children. Money raised has been spent to buy educational supplies as well as special wheel chairs and devices to make education more accessible to the children. I take my kids every year. Well, last year I decided that it would be fun to do a tree. It was going to be done by the Relief Society, but that didn't happen so I bought back the stuff and did it with the PTA!

The theme that we chose was "As Unique As A Snowflake". Today (November 22) was the day it was due, and I think it turned out petty nicely and now I just hope that someone buys it! ARGH So much stress!

Now to start planning next years theme!

The Muggle Wand Maker and Harry Potter Mania!

Last summer we were asked to do a booth, selling wands, at the movie theater this November when Harry Potter came out. Mike worked is tail off, had an inventory of 220 wands, and on Thursday the 18th we set up shop! It was a blast! Thursday night was INSANE!!! We were swamped all night long! Mike didn't get home until 2:00 Friday morning. We were that BUSY! Then we were back there by 2:00pm on Friday afternoon and stayed until 11:30. We set up shop again on Saturday morning at 10:00 am and were there until 10:30 that night. PHEW. There were SOME REALLY TIRED FOLKS AROUND HERE!

We have the world's greatest and most patient kids, the greatest friends and family!! We would have never made it without everyone's help at the booth and the kids. I guess now we start getting ready for the "part 2 release" this summer!

Oh yeah, I LOVED the movie too!!!

Yes Seargent!

We had a GREAT pack meeting last night! Clerie came up (Paul and the kiddo's came too) and ran a "mini-boot camp" for us. She talked to the kids about being in the Military and why it's so important, put the kids through a mini obstacle course, and then talked about the American Flag and why it's so important. She was so great and I am thankful to have such great family, AND how many pregnant women would drop and "give em 5"?
