Back To School :( or :)

Back to school time is a time of mixed emotions.  Its so exciting and so sad all at the same time.  I LOVE having my boys home with me and yet I LOVE school!  I love our school, I love their teachers. I love new pencils and new notebooks.  Sigh.....but I SO miss my kiddo's.

This year Ty's so excited for 8th grade.  I can't believe he's already in 8th GRADE!  Ahhhh!

Matt is starting 6th grade and has Mrs. Kelly.  He's excited and I can't wait to see how much he will grow.

Isaac has Mrs. Call.  We haven't ever had her and so he is excited and a little nervous.  She's super nice so I think we'll see great things this year

Lucas has Mrs. Buckway and we are SO excited!  She is one of the greatest teachers we've ever had and I am so excited to see how Lucas soars while in her class!

Yay For another new school year!

Sinda's Little Man Shower!

Baby showers are always fun and this one was no exception!  We are all getting excited for David and Sinda's little guy to get here.  Here are a few fun pics from the night!

Tenderfoot In The HOUSE!

Tonight was Matt's first Court of Honor:) He received his Tenderfoot!  Way to go Matt!

Tyler also received his first palm.

And Mike received his Adult Religious Knot:)

I'm so happy to be a part of their lives!  They all work so hard and try so hard to do what's right.  Way to go!

Rollin Down The River!

We had a great time playing in the Weber River today!  We went with the Frandsens and the Neffs.  We all had a blast floating the river (its a little low this year) and Nick even went down once with Mike's help. Then he and Lucas had fun watching and throwing rocks in.....Until Nick slipped and fell in and got swept down the river!  I jumped in after him and tried to catch up....which wasn't easy....but thankfully David was standing down stream to grab kids and was able to get to him and grab him.  OH THE trauma.  Both for Nick and myself and everyone watching!  Up side is that I'm no longer nervous to just jump in the river and swim!  After he'd calmed down Mike took him on to swim with him for a minute.  We really hope we haven't traumatized him for life!  Then Mike took the kids over for fun on the rope swing.  All of my boys except Nick did it this year.  Of course Lucas just swung back and forth until Mike pulled him off......but we're calling it a win!  All in all I'd say it was a good day.  AND I'm so thankful for life jackets!
